Involvement in The Raleigh Black Chamber of Commerce represents the continued development of your business, your career progression, and the progressive economic development of our community. BUSINESS & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: The Raleigh Black Chamber of Commerce is committed to the success of our members and our goal is to unite the power of the available resources represented within the organization, membership, and constituents.

ADVOCATE FOR PUBLIC POLICY: Black business owners are a powerful constituency. As a community, we have been participants in advocacy for years and have had significant impact on the legislative agenda. We take the process seriously. We understand the importance of relationships with both Democrats and Republicans and scrupulously maintain a bipartisan approach to advocacy.

We vote. Our endorsements have weight. In addition, by a wide margin, black business owners across demographic groups place a significant degree of trust in the endorsements of the RBCC.

We are an economic force. There are 1.2 million privately held black – owned businesses, across every industry sector in the United States. We employee over 750,000 people and generate $88.6 billion in annual revenue.

BUSINESS REFERRALS: As The Raleigh Black Chamber of Commerce receives inquiries for products and services each year, we will refer many of these requests to our members in an effort to increase your clientele and profitability. Thus, The Raleigh Black Chamber of Commerce acts as a change agent to promote cooperative efforts that will affect resolution to key business issues and garner mutually beneficial working relationships between members and presenting opportunities.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: The Raleigh Black Chamber of Commerce fosters an exceptional business development culture. Regular presentations, workshops, and seminars will be held to further the pursuit of economic development in the greater Raleigh business community.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY: To proliferate visibility for The Raleigh Black Chamber of Commerce members, we will publish a directory, listing all members, to be used throughout the greater Raleigh area by individuals, small businesses, corporations, public and private organizations, as a convenient reference for products and services.

MEMBER-FOCUSED EVENTS: We create, plan, and host regular special events and networking opportunity designed to enhance you and your organization's exposure throughout the greater Raleigh area and supply opportunities for further business development.

NEWSLETTER: A monthly e-newsletter will be provided to all members in an effort to maintain clear and up-to-date communication with the membership and the business community at large ... to inform every one of our activities and progress. Our newsletter will include information on upcoming events, programs/activities, news, success stories, member profiles, and information from our president.

Business Services: Email hosting and bookkeeping services.

Supplier Program: Discounted office supplies for all RBCC members through Office Depot.

Discount Program: Tons of discounts in the areas of advertising, rental cars, hotels, phone service, and other business services.
